Really MTV?

OK so we know there has been plenty of controversy surrounding the fact that Kanye West stormed the stage to interrupt Taylor Swift's acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards...but to be fair we think the real controversy is the fact that Swift was even considered in the first place.

What has the world come to when this cheesy piece of turd can be considered a good music video? (Caution: Video may induce projectile vomiting)

Compare it to something like Sigur Ros' eerie and beautiful Ryan McGinley inspired film clip for their track 'Gobbledigook'. I think you'll agree there is no competition really.

Or maybe that's just because we can more closely relate to free-spirited hippie nymphs than cheesy country-girl teenyboppers.
