Swedish Fashion Show

A little while back we took part in a fashion show in Gothenburg, Sweden. I've been meaning to post these pics for a while but kept getting sidetracked. Below are some snaps from the night.

Also...

Dear Swedish people,

Please stop being so goodlooking. You're putting us all to shame.

Sincerely,

The Rest of the World.

The dude on the right in the above photo is our mercurial Swedish agent Mitch, who deserves plenty of credit for making all this happen. Sorry ladies, he is taken.

Injecting you with the fresh proddy

Oooohhhh yeah can you smell that? Smells like change to me. Change and croissants. But maybe the croissant smell is just my brain playing tricks on me cos I'm so damn hungry.

Yep there's lots of changes happening at the moment. We have a new Prime Minister. We're dropping new designs on you. And also a third thing which I'm too lazy to think of.

The three prints for this round are available across a range of garments (there are 15 styles to be exact). Due to popular demand (what a cliche) we have also re-worked one of our old faves - the mighty Yen. All prints are limited in numbers so get in quick. You can click on any of the images to warp straight through to our online store. Shopping releases endorphins. Don't fight it.

EQUAL. Available on black and white tees, men's singlets and women's singlets.

Dreamer

I had the strangest dream last night. I was living in my school boarding house on a giant beach and we were having a massive party. And one of my friends was pregnant with another one of my friend's babies. And the Beastie Boys were there. Anyone care to interpret?

Rip It Up giveaway!!

Want to nab yourself some free Eleventh Commandment gear? Yeah me too but Josh has locked me out of our warehouse these days after he found out about my little kleptomania problem...

Anyway if you like getting your free gear the honest way you can jump over here to Rip It Up magazine's competition page. We've combined with the sexy team there to give you the chance to win yourself some free threadage.

I like to think Rip It Up mag took their name from '80s Scottish post-punk band Orange Juice...or more specifically their second album 'Rip It Up'. But hey I also like to think Miranda Kerr is going to realise we're meant to be together and profess her undying love for me so in both cases I'm probably wrong.

'Touchdown Jesus' burns to ground

I swear you can't make this stuff up. This week in North Redneckville, USA (or more accurately Monroe, Ohio) a six-storey statue of Jesus was struck by lightning and burned to the ground. Ironically insurance companies are refusing to pay for the damage, citing the incident as an Act of God.

Damn that irony is tasty...like butter on steak.

If I was God I wouldn't want my landscape decorated with garish hulking monstrosities either.

You can check out the full story with more images and video here or here.

Naked and Famous

Love this track from new Kiwi band The Naked and Famous. Has a bit of an M83 feel to it. Their debut album is dropping soon.

Michelle Wilding for Lost at E Minor and Mishness

We recently gave a sneak peak of our new Made in Space collection to the gorgeous and talented Michelle Wilding. As well as running her own blog Michelle is a contributor to one of our favourite sites - Lost at E Minor.

You can check out the articles she posted on both sites by clicking on either of the banners below:

The Mishness piece especially is one of our favourite EC articles to date. For those that don't have time to read the whole article, here is a brief snippet:

It'd be worth bookmarking Michelle's sites...you just know she is going to be posting plenty more gold in future.

Hello winter

Sydney winter is rad. I wore a t-shirt out on Friday night. But I'm thinking there won't be much more of that for a while.

Shureshock returns

Australia's top MC is back with a killer new tune - 'You're the One'. The Will Styles remix debuted on Triple J Home & Hosed recently and has been getting plenty of airtime since.

The single is going to feature on Shureshock's new EP - The Shureshock Project. You can listen to 'You're the One' as well as a whole bunch of other gold at the great man's Soundcloud.

Expect to hear a lot more in the coming months.

Here is a pic from a Kid Kenobi and MC Shureshock shoot a while back with Shureshock styling in our Tree of Wife tee, Fahrenheit hoodie and Harlequin jeans and Kid K in our Nouveauhemian jeans.

And a video I took a couple of years back with Shureshock absolutely shredding Summafieldayze.

Ah to be young and hedonistic again...

CIT photography exhibition

Our friend Georgia Perry aka Tricky G will be showcasing some of her work at the upcoming Canberra Institute of Technology photography exhibition. It'll be a great chance to see the amazing work of talented young Canberrans while they are still enthusiastic and optimistic and before they all give up their dreams of forging careers in creative industries and march with their tails between their legs to get dead-end jobs in the public service.

Obviously I jest. Some will just go straight on the dole.

Joking! I'm sure my cynicism won't hide the fact that I'm actually quite jealous of these shutterbugs as they're all much more talented with a camera than I'll ever be. Now if only I could segue back from this tangent about the public service to the exhibition at hand. How about...'If you are a member of the PUBLIC do yourself a SERVICE and attend this exhibition'. Yeah that should do it. Seamless.

This is one of the prints Georgia will have on display:

If you're around Canberra you should definitely check this out.
